Mindless eating can be due to emotions, stress, or environmental factors like creative food arrangements or enhanced flavors to attract the eaters. It usually indicates stuffing to our heart’s content without caring for the calorific and nutritional values of the item. Eating better was introduced since it can easily lead to weight gain and damaged health. However, replacing junk or calorie-dense foods with greens and nutrient-dense foods won’t change the routine if eaten mindlessly. Thus, either way possible, portion control and a balanced diet adjusting both nutrition and indulgence are essential for better health. A mindless diet, forced due to external factors, will never satiate us mentally till we are satisfied.
